ホテルとしては稀な静謐さを携えたエントランスホールです。
訪れるたびに新たな発見のある、私の大のお気に入りの場所でもあります。

The guest can overlook the night view of Tokyo from 52F.
My very very favorite restaulant.

(Although I can rarely go to this place... )

Food, interior, music, and service.

The all are maintained by perfect harmony.

52Fの高見から見渡す光り輝く東京の夜景。
私の大のお気に入りのレストランです。
（行くのは年に数回しかありませんが。。。）

料理と空間と音楽とサービス。

そのすべてが完璧な調和で保たれています。

Even if it is the same kind, the plant has individuality to each.

In the business card that I had designed the other day,
I thought that I wanted to express the diversity.

The company is making commodity of botanical body care from hand
in Colorado in the United States.

For example, As for the herb soap, because all materials are
made from organic farming,the expression is different one by one.

How can I simply express diversity?

Worried for a long time,
I came up with way to lay 100 different curves on paper.

植物はたとえそれが同じ種類であってもそれぞれに個性があります。

先日手がけた名刺において、私はその多様性を表現したいと考えました。
その会社はアメリカのコロラドでボタニカルボディーケアの商品を手作りしています。

全ての材料がオーガニック由来のため、
たとえば看板商品のハーブ石けんでは1つずつ表情が異なります。

どうやったらシンプルに多様性を表現することはできるだろうか。
そして長いこと悩んだ末にようやく、
線形の異なる100本の曲線をただ並べるという方法を思いついたのです。

EXPRESSION　OF TILE

I'm designing the Exterior & Interior of the housing .

When I visited a site under construction the other day,

the tile was pasted partially of the outside wall.

The stoneware tile that uses in a low layer of the outside wall

were produced with custom-designed for this project.

The size & face & brick joint & color were decided　through the trial and error.

All tiles have a different expression　by craftsman's hand.

I’m impatient for completion of this housing.

とある集合住宅で外観・インテリアのデザイン監修を行っています。
先日工事中の現場を訪ねると、外壁の一部にタイルが貼られていました。
基壇部分で使用しているこのせっき質タイルは、

今回の計画のために特注で製作したものです。
多くの試作を経て寸法・面状・目地そして色彩を決定しました。
タイルの一枚一枚は職人の手が加わることで全て異なる表情を持っています。
今から竣工が楽しみです。

LOOOOONG !!

I met the long planter at galleria in milano.

This long planter is a moderate　buffer of the person who relaxes in the cafe

and the person who walks along the street.

以前ミラノのガレリアで出会った、ながぁ～～～いプランター。

この長いプランターは、カフェでくつろぐ人と通りを歩く人との

適度な緩衝帯になっていました。

Upside-down

Some advertisement caught my eyes in the train.
The photos were taken by Taisuke Koyama (famous photographer),
and bright colorations were effectively used.

When I saw the poster,I realized all the character was written up side down.

Does this happen on purpose ??

I did go to the other car just for confirmation,
and found that the poster was hung on a different way and all the characters were written in the right direction in there.

After all, the poster I saw first was hung in a opposite way by mistake.

But I think this must be a honor for the designer, whose work can trap people who hung up the poster like that.

Because great graphic designs are always have to be balanced perfectly, even if, it's seen from different angles or unintended directions.

This poster was proved the great quality of design by that accident.

色合いがきれいで、ふと目に留まった１枚の車内吊り広告。
写真家小山泰介氏の写真が効果的に使われていて、
しばし見とれていると文字が逆さまなことに気がつきました。

周到に計算されたハズシの要素？

念のため他の車両を覗くと、
そちらは天と地が反転していました。
貼る人の手違いで逆さまだったようですが、
実はこれ、デザイナーとしては名誉なことなのではという気もします。

良質なグラフィックデザインというのは、
グルグル３６０度気まぐれに回転させても、
それぞれの角度でバランスがとれているはず。

上下逆さまの状態でも座りがいいというのは、
まさにデザイナーの腕が立証されたことに他なりません。

Width of earth color

The collection of the soil that has been gathered

all over the world displays at our office.

I’m surprised to see that the earth color has big width of the color.

The inspiration that the nature gives is exhaustless.

私たちの事務所には、世界中で採取してきた

土のコレクションが並んでいます。

ひとえにアースカラーと呼んでもこれほどの色幅があることに驚きます。

自然界の与えるインスピレーションは尽きることがありません。

Floating Roof

In outlet mall,a light roof above the passage is so impressive.

Sunlight reflects softly to the curved roof pasted wood.

This architecture is designed by Yoshiro Ikehara Architecture.

前出のアウトレットモールでは、

通路に張り出した軽快な屋根が印象的です。

緩やかな曲面に貼られた天然木に、

陽の光がやわらかく反射しています。

Cool Breeze

This morning I feel so sweaty.
The temperature climbs to 35.2degrees in Tokyo
though it is an early summer No wonder !!
At such times, if I imagine cool breeze, I could get through.

次から次へと汗が出てくる。
どうもおかしいと思っていたら、
初夏なのに東京は35.2℃ですって!
こんな時は気分だけでも涼まないとね。
